How patient data is protected
HxAssist is designed to handle patient information responsibly and securely. Patient data is used to support the clinical history-taking process and is not intended to be publicly accessible or used for advertising.
Who can access the data?
Patient history is accessible only to the authorised clinician/clinic users associated with that patient, based on their assigned access permissions. Authorised HxAssist personnel may have limited access where necessary for technical support, security, maintenance or other legitimate operational purposes.
Where is it stored?
Patient data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure used by HxAssist. Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are applied to protect information during storage and transmission.
How long is it kept?
Patient data is retained only for the period required to provide the HxAssist service and meet applicable operational, contractual or legal requirements. Retention periods may also depend on the clinic's configuration and applicable healthcare/data-protection requirements.
How is it deleted?
Patient data can be deleted in accordance with the applicable retention policy or a valid deletion request. When deletion is authorised, the data is removed from active HxAssist systems in accordance with our data-deletion procedures, subject to any legally required retention and applicable backup-retention periods.
Current compliance status
HxAssist is currently being developed with privacy, security and applicable data-protection requirements in mind. We do not claim any specific regulatory certification or compliance certification for HxAssist unless and until that status has been formally assessed or granted.
